General Information
Description of Program: Provides free non-legal advice, information and referral on a wide range of consumer topics. Also publishes "How To Complain: Guidelines for Resolving Complaints" a 16-page, booklet that gives helpful advice for resolving complaints. It offers guidance for remedies through the legal system, government agencies, and local consumer groups, and includes a sample complaint letter.
Other free multilingual educational publications cover banking, credit, savings, money management, telephone topics, privacy topics, avoiding fraud, Internet safety and more.
